Sichuan government is to raise silkworm egg price since Jan. 1st, 2006, said Sichuan Price Bureau. The current price was fixed ten years ago.
According to new price adjustment policy, Sichuan is to raise the ex-works price of parent eggs of silkworm to 90 yuan from the current 68 yuan per piece, and ex-works price of the 1st generation cross-bred seeds to 21.5 yuan from the current 19.8 yuan per piece. Meantime, sales price of 1st generation cross-bred seeds is to be raised to 23 yuan from 20 yuan per piece.
