China: China sets 2006 export quotas on Mulberry Silk Commodities

China’s Ministry of Commerce said it has set the 2006 export quotas on Mulberry Silk Commodities. The quota is 21000 tons, 3000 tons higher than 2005.
The ministry said it would accept applications for next year’s exports of these products between Nov.1 and Nov.15.
Export Quota License Management for grey silk and part of Mulberry Silk Commodities was canceled as of January 1, 2005. Mulberry Silk Commodities Export Quotas applies for Mulberry Silk Commodities that are still under Export Quota License Management after January 1, 2005, namely Commodities with the Customs Codes beginning with 5001 to 5003.
