On March 7, 2006, Ministry of Agriculture co-sponsored a symposium for Silkworm Egg Management modification with China National Cocoon & Silk Cooperation Office in Jiangsu’s Zhenjiang. Responsible sectors of main cocoon producing provinces and regions and leading egg producers also attended the symposium. In one-day extensive discussion, attendees made lively speeches and exchanged different views. The symposium announced a new detailed management will be seen in this August with approval of Minister of Agriculture.
As Pasturage Law of the People’s Republic of China is to be effective as of July 1st of this year, and the new law includes the management of silkworm eggs. From this view, the modification of silkworm egg management is of much urgence.
