From January to June, the U.S. imported 644 million US dollars of silk products from China, up 14.65% year on year, accounting for 30.31% of its global imports. Among them:
Silk filament: imported from China amounted to 1.3527 million US dollars,up 264.21% year on year,with whose market share totaled 25.96%, falling to be the second in the import sources of silk filament. The import quantity was 46.93 tons, an increase of 562.14% from the previous year and a marked share of 45.05%.

Silk fabrics: imported from China amounted to 2.6406 million US dollars, a decline of 61.43% year on year, and a market share of 11.09%, ranking the fourth in the import sources of silk fabrics. The quantity was 372.9 thousand square meters, falling 84.37% from a year before.
