Yunnan Huangzheng Industrial Group Co.,Ltd, formerly of Xiangyun County Yinlong Cocoon Silk Group Co., Ltd., was founded at Xiangyun County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province in December 2003.It is a provincial key leading agriculture industrialization management enterprise.Relying on 6200 hectares of mulberry base in the county,and the modern agricultural development mode of “Company + CP branch + professional cooperative + base + farmers”, the company has formed a sericulture industry chain containing sericulture production technology promotion service, silkworm eggs production management, cocoon collecting and drying, silkworm medicine and equipment management, silk reeling and silk floss processing and sales. Its main products are dry cocoons, raw silk, silk quilts etc. Based on good geographical location，suitable climate conditions and local high quality cocoons, the raw silk the company produced can reach Grade 5A and above.
To play a demonstration role as a leading company, the company has developed a sericulture demonstration base with 66.7 hectares of land use transferred in Ganxiang Natural Village, Jiaoqi Village Committee, Yi Town, Yunnan. The county ranked second in the province and first in the prefecture on sericulture scale, silkworm amount, sales revenue of cocoons, which made the sericulture industry become the second largest pillar industry after flue-cured tobacco. And in 2009, the county was listed as one of the ten sericulture core base counties in Yunnan Province. Meanwhile, the policies of “two kinds of tobacco control doubled”and “Sericulture Moving from East to West” have brought a great opportunity to the Sericulture Industry development of Xiangyun.
The company invested 110 million yuan to move the silk reeling factory to the industrial park in accordance with the county party committee and government’s strategic deployment of “centralizing industry in the park and deploying the park in the mountains”. Now having 6.7 hectares of land scope and an automatic silk reeling production line with totalled 8000 threads (10 sets) of silk reeling machines, the new factory can produce 600 tons of raw silk and 50 thousand silk quilts per year. Meanwhile, the company has 7 sericulture service station (containing cocoon collecting and drying), 10 automatic cocoon drying lines, 16000 square meters of warehouse.
