Yunnan New Qianfo Cocoon & Silk Co., Ltd. is established on June 3rd, 2009 with registered capital of 16.8 million yuan and total assets of 350 million yuan, and it is located in Luliang County, Qujing City, a place where was recognized as “Chinese High-quality Cocoon and Silk Production Base” by China Silk Association in 2016. The company is mainly engaged in purchase of cocoons and processing and sales of silk relative products, such as raw silk, spun silk, silk fabrics, silk garments and silk quilts. Covering 16.4 hectares of land area and 86 thousand square meters of building area, it has 3 silk factories-industrial park silk factory, Ma Street silk factory and Sancha silk factory, and 17 cocoon collecting and drying stations. Meanwhile, it has 4 automatic silk reeling lines, 26 sets of silk reeling machines totaled 10400 threads, and over 650 employees, being the largest silk reeling processing enterprise in Yunnan province. Moreover, the company is a provincial key leading agriculture industrialization management enterprise, which can yearly purchase 4.5 thousand tons of fresh cocoons and produce 480 tons of raw silk with annual sales revenue of 250 million yuan. Its cocoon and silk brands “Yunxin” and “Qianfo” are Yunnan Famous Brand.
The company purchases and manages materials (cocoons) in the way of “contract farming”, by signing contracts between farmers and cooperatives, forming its industrialized business mode of “company (cooperative) +base (cooperative branch) + farmers (cooperator)”. In 2016, it passed ISO9001:2008 quality certification which later changed version to ISO9001:2015 in 2018.
