Silk product trade in MayAccording to statistics from the United States Department of Commerce, the trade value of silk products in May was 477 million US dollars, rising 0.85% from the previous month and dropping 19.77% from the same period last year. Among them, the import value was 406 million US dollars, dropping 1.62% month-on-month and 22.31% year-on-year; the export value was 70.1269 million US dollars, increasing 18.03% on a monthly basis and decreasing 1.02% from the year earlier. Silk product trade from January to MayFrom January to May, the US’ silk trade value totaled 2571 million US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 9.93%.
