According to the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, in 2023, China's textile and apparel exports was 293.64 billion U.S. dollars,down 8.1% year on year(the same below), in which the cumulative export value of textile was 134.5 billion U.S. dollars, down 8.3%, and the export value of apparel was 159.14 billion U.S. dollars, down 7.8%. Among the four major categories, export value of yarn and fabrics fell by 8.6% and 8.5% respectively, while exports of home textiles and knitted & woven clothing decreased by 0.4% and 7.9% respectively.
From the perspective of major products, the exports of chemical fiber woven fabrics and cotton cloth from January to December were 27.82 billion and 9.68 billion U.S. dollars respectively, down 4.7% and 17.7%. The export value of silk woven fabrics was 370 million U.S. dollars, down 17.9%, and wool and animal hair woven fabrics was 280 million U.S. dollars, down 16.6%.
